All our Cream Teas are available as Gluten free

We are open from 9.30 until 5.30 each day.
(Times may vary through the winter months of November to February. Please call if you are travelling far to avoid disappointment).

Derrick’s Tea Room Menu
We are now fully licensed so you can enjoy a glass of Wine, Cider and bottled Beer, or if you have something to celebrate we have Champagne.
Our aim is and always will be to offer a combination of fantastic food, coupled with great service set in a relaxing environment. All our food is prepared and cooked fresh on the premises with local produce where possible.
We serve snacks, cream teas, sandwiches and hot meals all day long. We also have specials on the board which are usually ready by noon.

Derrick’s Traditional Breakfast
Derrick’s is famous for its traditional full English breakfast, which also comes in mini and also Vegetarian versions too. We also have fresh baked baguettes filled with Bacon, Sausage or Egg and new to the menu is Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg.

Home Made Soup of the day
Every day we serve homemade soups like Butternut Squash, Potato Leek & Bacon or Broccoli and Cheddar; all served with crusty bread or baguettes or why not try our great combination of Soup and a filled Sandwich or Baguette.

Jacket Potatoes
Fresh baked each day and filled with one of our range of delicious fillings and served with a crunchy fresh salad and homemade coleslaw.

Ploughman’s
Cheddar Cheese, Honey Roasted Ham, Stilton, Somerset Brie or a mixture of your choice and served with salad, pickled onions, freshly baked baguette, homemade coleslaw and potato salad with a jar of Derrick’s own Real Ale Chutney.

Salads
Tuna, Chicken Mayo, Coronation Chicken, Prawns with Marie Rose Sauce; to name a few, served with generous portions of fresh salads, fresh baguette, homemade coleslaw and potato salad.

Sandwiches & Baguettes
Freshly prepared to order on White or Brown Bread and with a choice of fillings and garnished with a fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. These are also available as a baguette or Toasted - it’s your choice.

Panini’s
Filled with your choice of three fillings, toasted and served with a fresh crunchy salad and homemade coleslaw.

Derrick’s Cream Teas
These are our specialties and come in many varieties - Gentleman’s, Queen Victoria’s, Chocolate Heaven, Cherry or of course a traditional Cream Tea. All made with freshly baked homemade scones served with lashings of real Somerset Clotted Cream and Strawberry & Champagne Jam together with a pot of Tea.

High Tea
Traditionally eaten early evening, although at Derrick’s we think it is just as delicious served at any time of the day.
High tea is a substantial meal served on a traditional cake stand. The first tier comprises of a delicious selection of savoury sandwiches. The second tier has a selection of delicious cakes, finished off on the third tier with Derrick’s home baked scones with jam and clotted cream; all complemented with a pot of English Tea.
